Dosa is a favourite breakfast item for many of us. Normally dosa is made of rice and mung dal. But here is a dosa preparation using wheat flour. This one is also soft and delicious which can be enjoyed along with chutneys and sambar.
Wheat Dosa
Dosa is a favourite breakfast item for many of us. Normally dosa is made of rice and mung dal. But here is a dosa preparation using wheat flour. This one is also soft and delicious which can be enjoyed along with chutneys and sambar.
Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat flour
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
- 1 nos onion finely chopped
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Mix the wheat flour, chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves, cumin seeds and salt in a bowl.
- Add 2½ cups of water to the mixture in the bowl and join them into a fine batter.
- Heat a flat pan and grease it with melted butter and pour the batter evenly on to the pan. Make a smooth round shape using the back of the spoon.
- Allow the dosa to cook on medium flame. Drizzle drops of melted butter from the sides of the pan and allow the dosa to become crispy.
- Take from the pan and serve along with chutneys or sambar.
