Ingredients
All purpose flour 2 cups
Milk 1/2 cup
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Egg 1 nos
Butter 6 tablespoon
Yeast 1 teaspoon
Sugar 2 tablespoon
Preparation
Dissolve the yeast in lightly warm milk, add the sugar and 2 tablespoons of butter, egg and salt.
Beat the mixture till smooth and add in the flour in portions and stir and mix to form a fine dough.
Now take the dough out from the bowl and knead it finely on a floured surface.
Grease a bowl with butter, make ball of the dough, smear the outer surface with butter and place in the bowl.
Cover the bowl and allow the dough to rise for an hour.
When the dough reaches double its size push it down and remove from the bowl to a floury surface.
Shape small, even sized balls out of the dough.
Prepare a baking tray with baking paper and place the dough balls greased with butter in a fine arrangement. Brush the dough balls with butter.
Allow to stay covered for 1 hour for the dough to rise.
Preheat oven to 180°c and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
