Green Peas Cutlet.

Now a days people are in search of food items and recipes which are not containing much carbohydrates.

Here is an easy recipe of Green Peas Cutlet rich in protein and delicious which can be served as a starter or a snack to coffee or tea.

Ingredients 

Green peas 1 cup

Potato 1 medium

Onion chopped 1 nos

Ginger finely chopped 1 teaspoon

Garlic finely chopped 4 cloves

Green chillies finely chopped 2 nos

Cumin powder a pinch

Salt to taste

Bread crumbs 2 tablespoons

Egg 1 nos

vegetable oil for deep frying

Preparation

Cook the green peas adding some water and salt until soft.

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and saute the chopped garlic and ginger for two minutes.

Add the chopped onion and salt and saute till the onion pieces change colour.

Now add the cooked green peas and cumin powder and cook them together for 3-4 minutes stirring well.

Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Peel the potato cut it to pieces and cook it adding enough water and salt till soft.

Remove the water and mash the potato to a fine paste using a fork or masher.

When the green peas become cold, add them to a mixer grinder and grind it coarsely.

Transfer the ground green peas paste to a bowl and add the mashed potatoes and mix together.

Now break the egg into a shallow bowl and beat it finely.

Spread the breadcrumbs in a shallow plate.

Now take each a tablespoon of the green peas potato mix and form cutlets using your hands.

Put the cutlets in the beaten egg and then cover each of them with bread crumbs rolling them in the plate with bread crumbs.

Heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry the cutlets one after another till golden brown,

Remove from oil and serve along with sweet sour sauce ar any other dip you like.

As we told earlier it can be serves as a starter or a snack.
