Potatoe Wedges

I remember the day very well. I was in London for a business trip, and I was craving for something to quench my hunger.  I happened to pass by a takeaway and saw the potato wedges on display and decided to buy some. I remember that it was a hot day, and I enjoyed my potato wedges on the banks of the great Thames. The taste of the potatoes, the saltiness of the sauce, and the crunch of the wedges all topped off my perfect day.

Then back at home I tried to bake it for me and tried several recipes from many different sources.  At last I found a very simple and delicious way to bake it.  Here the recipe.

Ingredients

Potatoes 500 grams
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
Sweet Chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
Olive oil 2 teaspoon

Preparation

Wash and clean the potatoes and dry them.
Cut the potatoes in half and cut them into pieces according to the size of them.
Now mix the salt, chilli powder and oil in a bowl and add a bit water if necessary.
Add the potato pieces to the bowl and mix it with the chilli oil mix till all the potatoes are fully coated.

Now spread a baking tray with baking sheets and place the potatoe pieces evenly in the tray.

Preheat the oven at 200 °c and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Take out from the oven and serve along with sweet sour sauce or tomato sauce.
