This Pork curry which iI am presenting here is one of the simplest and tastiest preparations.
Pork meat 500 grams
Onions chopped 2 nos
Ginger finely chopped 1 tablespoons
Garlic chopped 4 cloves
Coriander powder 1 tablespoon
Chilli powder 1 teaspoon
turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
Cinnamon powder 1/2 teaspoon
Almond powder/paste 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Vegetable oil 1-2 tablespoon
Cut the pork meat to medium sized pieces.
Chop the ginger and garlic and keep aside.
Chop the onion and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan at medium heat and add the ginger and garlic and saute for 2 minutes.
Add the chopped onion and saute till the onion becomes translucent or lightly brown.
Now add the coriander powder, chilli powder, cinnamon powder, and turmeric powder and saute for a minute.
Now add the sliced pork pieces and mix well.
Add a cup of water and enough salt, (3/4 teaspoon) and cook the meat for 20 minutes on medium flame with closed lids.
Stir the ingredients now and then and add more water if needed.
After 20 minutes the meat will be cooked well. If not cook for a further 10 minutes.
Now add the almonds powder/paste and mix together. Add more water if the gravy is too thick.
Taste the gravy and add more salt if needed.
Cook for a 5 minutes further and remove from heat and serve.
